A "Refurbished" Warforged

  • Race: Warforged
  • Age: Unknown
  • Height: 6’ 5"
  • Weight: 350 lbs

Warforged were an oddity before The Great War, but not totally uncommon. Zero, however, doesn’t fit the normal stereotype of a Warforged. For one thing, he has only the basic composite plating that most Warforged swap early on for hardier protection. For another, he fights unarmed, as opposed to normal members of his kind.

Zero doesn’t speak much, and when he does, his additions to the conversation are always direct and almost painfully blunt. His plating bears the marks of combat, but he either has no memory of that time of his life or he refuses to talk about it.

If a 6’5" walking tin can wasn’t noticeable enough, Zero bears a distinguishing etching on his left shoulder that looks like a very poor symbol of Pelor, a circle with wavy spikes coming off of it and some sort of strange squiggle in the center of the circle. Perhaps Zero put it there himself.

Zero was “built” in the underground forges of Balthom by Dwarves. He was subsequently shipped to Fenrill to undergo an enchantment process to imbue his metal and stone frame with arcane energies. The mark on his shoulder is actually a “brand” put on Warforged that were so imbued, the “squiggle” inside the circle is actually an arcane symbol that represents Fenrill.

At some point, Zero was sent off to join his bretheren in the Great War, but fell off the map. He “resurfaced” last year, with all traces of the magical energies he was imbued with gone. He doesn’t talk about what happened to him during that time, either because he doesn’t actually remember or because he chooses not to.
